General FAQs
I am currently private pay only. This allows sessions to remain focused on your goals rather than insurance requirements or diagnosis-driven limitations. Upon request, I can provide a superbill for potential out-of-network reimbursement through your insurance provider.
The first session is an initial assessment and conversation. We’ll discuss what brings you in, what you’d like to improve, and how you prefer to work. We’ll also review confidentiality, expectations, and structure moving forward. There is no pressure to “perform” or know exactly what to say.
Traditional therapy often involves face-to-face conversation in a seated setting. While that works well for many people, others respond better to movement and side-by-side interaction. My approach integrates structure, reflection, and goal-oriented work, with the option of incorporating movement through golf-based sessions when appropriate.
No. You do not need to be experienced or skilled at golf. The focus is not performance — it is engagement. Golf simply provides a structured activity that allows conversation to unfold more naturally. Beginners are welcome.
No. The goal is mental health work, not swing correction. That said, many people find that when mental clarity and emotional regulation improve, performance in other areas of life — including golf — often improves as well.
Yes. Sessions are conducted in private, controlled environments. Confidentiality standards remain the same as traditional therapy. Privacy and professionalism are prioritized at all times.
While I specialize in working with men and male-focused issues, I work with adults and young adults who feel aligned with this approach and structure. The focus is not exclusion — it is intentional specialization.
Many of the individuals I work with are new to therapy. If you’re unsure, we can use the first session to determine fit. Therapy is not about being “broken” — it’s about improving awareness, direction, and balance. If it’s not a good fit, I can help guide you toward other resources.
Traditional sessions are held in-office (or via secure telehealth if applicable). Golf-based sessions are conducted in private simulator environments to ensure consistency, privacy, and year-round accessibility.
A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations or missed appointments may be subject to the full session fee.
Yes. Golf-based sessions can be booked individually or as structured packages for those seeking consistency and long-term growth. Packages allow for deeper work and intentional progress over time.
